Upcoming Events

There will be no belt exams in July or August due to our busy summer schedule. Students Should attend the exam scheduled for May or June. Contact Sensei Orla or Danilo ASAP to Register.

May

1.       Saturday the 31^st  – Round 5 of the InterSchool League – 12pm Killarney Dojo €15pp

Killarney School NEEDS ALL students to attend this event! As the more people that compete, the better the chance at taking the lead in the league for Killarney!

June

1.      Monday the 2^nd  - Dojo Closed  as normal on Bank Holidays

2.       Saturday the 7^th – Family FSKDodgeBall Day 12pm-3pm– For Parents/Guardians Too!!! Fun for all the family.

3.       Saturday the 14^th - Belt Exam for all students who are ready or have not graded in 3 months. Kindly note there is a mandatory preregistration of €30 per student or €50 for 2 or more students partaking per family required before Thursday June the 12th.

All Students are to report at 12pm

4.      June 19^th – Dojo Closed – As Sensei Danilo & Sensei Orla are getting married! All are welcome to join in the festivities from 9.30pm in The Sneem Hotel, Goldens Cove. All students may attend extra classes to make up for this.

The Dojo will be closed on the following days:

·         Thursday June 19^th

·         Friday June 20^th

·         Saturday June 21^st

·         Sunday June 22^nd

The Dojo will Reopen on June the 22^nd as normal.

5.       Saturday the 28^th -  FINAL ROUND- Round 6 of the InterSchool League – 12pm Castletown Dojo €15pp

We know this event is further away than most, however Castletownbere students have supported our events in great numbers to date, so we would ask as many students as possible to attend this. Contact Sensei Orla to see if she can arrange carpools/busses etc. Killarney school could win the league with your support! The more attending the better the chance!

July – No Belt Exam this Month Students Should Attend June Exam

1.       Saturday the 5^th – Picnic in the Park with Fun & Games – Details to follow

2.       Saturday the 12^th – Summer BBQ at Killarney Dojo – Details to follow

3.      Saturday the 19^th – Swimming & Pool Training in Club Aquila, Gleneagle – Details to follow

4.       Saturday the 26^th – Family Beach Day – Weather Permitting – Details to follow

August No Belt Exam this Month Students Should Attend June Exam

1.      Monday 4^th August – Closed as Normal on Bank Holidays

2.       Saturday the 9^th – Kennedy’s Pet Farm Day – Details to follow

3. August 16th, 17th  - Squad Eireann Travel to the W.O.M.A.A. WORLD MARTIAL GAMES IX - The 2008 World Martial Arts "PEACE" Games, in Castlebar. All Students Interested should let Sensei Orla know IMMEDITAELY.

4.       Saturday the 23^rd – Cinema Trip – Details to follow

5.       Saturday the 30^th – Swimming & Pool Training in Club Aquila, Gleneagle – Details to follow

September

1. Friday the 5^th - Trip to Scotland – Due to circumstances beyond Sensei Gordon Maxwell’s control, he is unfortunately unable to host the next round of the Celtic Cup in July of this year. He has however extended an invitation to Squad Eireann to compete in his Annual Club Championships on the 6^th of September. Squad Eireann would fly out on Friday the 5^th and return either that Sunday Evening or Monday Morning. All Students Interested should let Sensei Orla know IMMEDITAELY.
