Ireland Vs Scotland

Celtic Karate Cup - Killarney - October 12th - 15th, 2007

2007's Winners Are Scotland

Ireland 125 points - Scotland 126 points

Firstly, Sensei Danilo & I would like to thank all who partook in the Kickathon on Friday and the Ireland Vs Scotland Event. We estimate over €750 was raised for Kerry’s people in need. If anyone has anymore sponsorship, please hand it to us in reception. We are trying to raise another €250 to bring the total to €1000.

On final tally of points Ireland scored 125 and Scotland 126, which means the Celtic Karate Cup will travel to Scotland until we get our chance to reclaim it in July. If you enjoyed the event and would like to compete in other events both nationally and internationally, please let us know. In order to compete at this level, it means we would have to prepare a dedicated squad, in training sessions, separate to normal class schedule. These would alternate from Kenmare to Killarney every week, on either a Saturday or a Sunday. All those interested should register their details with Orla. We also plan on travelling to the Malta 4 Nations in March. (Orla@KerryKarate.com for details).
