| FSKD Ireland was
established in 1993, by Sensei Niall Wright, In Castletownberehaven,
Co. Cork. Within two and a half years, with the aid of the
higher-grade brown belts, a second club was opened in Glengarriff. A
year and a half later, Sensei Niall Wright was asked to open a club
in Kenmare. One of Sensei Niall's
Senior Black
Belts is Danilo Dusoswa. Sensei Danilo was studying in IT Tralee
at this time, and still commuted twice a week from Tralee to
Castletownberehaven and Kenmare, to keep up his training.
During this time, Sensei Niall
Wright with the aid of NAPMA had developed a new martial arts
programme, aimed at kids. This programme incorporated the discipline
and awareness and self-defence fundamentals of Karate, through a
series of fun games. The programme was called “the Little Ninja’s”.
FSKD Ireland promotes education and
it’s students have travelled not only around the country for an
assortment of seminars and tournaments, but also around Europe
including the U.K., the U.S.A and South America, bringing home
multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze World Medals.
Sensei Niall Wright also studied and
has long since become an instructor in Tai Chi, Tae Bo,
Cardio-Kickboxing and the science of Pressure Point applications, to
name a few. Sensei Niall Wright teaches these classes in his own
schools, in innumerable family resource centres and nursing homes,
all over the South West, to all age groups!
Sensei Niall Wright is currently
studying for his next black belt along with the huge commitment he
has made to his students, between offering them extra training, and
attending various seminars to improve his teaching!
Sensei Danilo set up a “Little Ninja
Group” in Tralee, and Killorglin during his first years of college.
Sensei Danilo, following in Sensei Niall’s footsteps, decided to
teach martial arts professionally and then went on to develop his
own version of these kid’s classes and modified them to suit older
kids. He subsequently opened another club In Castleisland and also
Killarney.
Inspired by Sensei Niall Wrights,
passion for broadening his horizons, Sensei Danilo has studied to
become Irelands only licensed Instructor of a crucial Anti-Abduction
Programme for Kids, and continues to run courses all over the South
West. Sensei Danilo is also running a number of after school
programmes throughout the South West, and is currently developing a
new form of Cardio-Kickboxing/Tae-Bo programme called UMAF –
Ultimate Martial Arts Fitness.
FSKD Ireland hosts regular
Inter-club and national tournaments throughout the year. FSKD also
host the annual 5 Continents Karate Championships each year, and countries from all over the
world including Scotland, Russia, Italy, Holland, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria,
U.S.A. and the U.K. partake.
FSKD Ireland have outclassed all
others in their teaching of various martial arts programmes, and
will continue to do so, as they have truly devoted instructors, who
relentlessly wish to enhance themselves, their teaching, their
students and endeavour to teach those that wish to be taught. |
